The Colin Town Hub was awarded Northern Ireland's Building of the Year 2019, and we played a significant role in this project by designing, supplying, and fitting all the natural stone elements of the building.
Cunningham Stone Limited is proud to announce our successful acquisition of the complete natural stone cladding package for this remarkable building. Our extensive scope of work encompasses the design, supply, and installation of Pedras Salgadas Granite and St John’s Red Granite. Notably, all natural stone cladding for this project was meticulously crafted at our factory located in Saintfield, Northern Ireland.

The recently developed transport hub and civic square mark a transformative investment in the Colin area, backed by the Urban Villages Initiative. The Colin Connect Transport Hub has significantly upgraded the local environment and improved connectivity, linking West Belfast, East Belfast, and the Titanic Quarter through the city centre via the Translink Glider service. In addition to transportation enhancements, the hub includes two dedicated community spaces managed by Colin Neighbourhood Partnership. These spaces will serve as venues for a diverse array of public events and community activities, promoting engagement and collaboration among residents while revitalising the neighbourhood.
In attendance at the grand opening was Mark Browne, Director of Strategic Policy, Equality & Good Relations at the Executive Office and said;
“I am thrilled to be here today to officially open the Colin Connect Transport Hub and Colin Town Square. This new facility presents a fantastic opportunity for the people in the Colin area and it will be a tremendous asset for the entire community. It will not only help to connect the people who live in the Colin area, it will also serve as a gateway to the rest of Belfast and beyond.”
