The newly developed Colin Connect Transport Hub and civic square represent a major investment in the Colin area, supported by the Urban Villages Initiative. The hub improves connectivity across Belfast, linking West Belfast, East Belfast, and the Titanic Quarter via the Translink Glider service, while also providing two community spaces managed by Colin Neighbourhood Partnership for public events and activities.
At the grand opening, Mark Browne, Director of Strategic Policy, Equality & Good Relations, remarked: “This new facility presents a fantastic opportunity for the people in the Colin area… it will serve as a gateway to the rest of Belfast and beyond.” The project has revitalised the neighbourhood, offering both improved transport links and vibrant community engagement spaces.
