Cunningham Stone carried out a comprehensive programme of heritage restoration works, including steam and grit cleaning to rejuvenate original surfaces and brickwork repairs using traditional lime mortar. The project also involved the design, supply and installation of Peak Moor Sandstone masonry with intricately carved detailing, enhancing the building’s architectural character while supporting a modern, sustainable transport hub.

Location: Londonderry, Northern Ireland
Materials Used: Peak Moor Sandstone

Our team carried out steam and grit cleaning to rejuvenate original surfaces, repaired brickwork with traditional lime mortar, and designed, supplied, and installed Peak Moor Sandstone masonry, including intricately carved details that reflect the building’s heritage. The result is a striking blend of functionality and artistry, enhancing the Hub’s architectural elegance and supporting sustainable, cross-border connectivity.

The restored facility now serves as a key interchange for cyclists and public transport users, promoting greener travel options while preserving architectural heritage for future generations. This project highlights Cunningham Stone’s commitment to quality, innovation, and community-focused restoration.
